Powerful sporting Duo seeks cause partner in Mental Health

This month (October 2017) we are delighted to facilitate a partnership for an influential sporting Duo that reaches millions of Australians (and a large proportion of young men). The Duo – a National sporting code and an online wagering company – are genuine and innovative in terms of their corporate social responsibility.  The wagering company is an industry leader in social responsibility, especially responsible wagering.

Research conducted with Australian sports fans and wagering customers reveals a strong desire to support mental health, and the Duo have a unique ability to reach a large audience and engage with young men, amongst whom mental health is a serious issue.

Our ideal cause partner looks like this:   Has an existing or proposed program/campaign that educates & drives behaviour change around mental health in Australia (eg not a campaign that raises funds or simply promotes a service); mental health is a major part of your service offering – it’s what you are known/famous for; you’re determined to do whatever it takes to break down the stigma of mental illness; you are open to volunteers; you have DGR Status 1.

My client sees this alignment as a partnership and not a ‘donation’, because the Duo believe that their reach is far more powerful than their dollars – they want to promote behaviour-changing messages to their fans and customer base of over a million Australians.

The investment is $1m cash over 5 years, plus marketing & promotional support (incl outdoor /digital advertising), money can’t buy experiences/prizes, access to talent & iconic sporting legends, skilled staff volunteering & giving, customer donation program, use of production & design studios, access to ad agency and app developers, access to CBD office space for meetings, fundraising at major sporting events and access to databases reaching millions of Australians for campaign promotion and potentially, once a year, an appeal for funds.

Whilst we are cognisant that some non-profits would be reluctant to align with a wagering brand, we encourage you to consider this opportunity because it has the potential to reach millions of at-risk young people and save lives.  It will also significantly raise awareness of your organisation, significantly increase discussion as well as provide a platform for you to raise significant funds.

Our client is seeking a Flagship partnership that will be publicly promoted therefore you must be comfortable publicly aligning with a sporting code and an on-line wagering company.
